A atviKEK, followed by a service of song ! entitled "The River Singers," was held i in the Wesleyan Church last night in aid ' of the Circuit fund. There way a very ' good attendance. The tea waa set out in r a most tasty stylo, and at G3O a large number sat down to a tempting repast. The tables were presided over by Mrs Goldsmith and Mrs Reynolds, Mrs Baker and the Misses Thompson, Mrs Stevenson, Mrs Johnston and Mrs Robb, and Mrs Hearn and Mrs Houghton ; assisted by a galaxy of untiring young Jadies. After { the tables had been cleared and the seats | re-arranged the service of song took place, i The service consists of a very pretty story i of a little girl who had been led on step ] by step to a more perfect life through the ( influence of ninny touching impressions j that had taken hold of her, and the read- i ingsare interspersed with a variety of sweet j musical selections.
