BY ELKCTRU: TWLKtJ I'.VPII — COPY I'.I OH !'. BRISBANE, September 14. The first estimate of L 90.000 as the loss by the fire at Rockhampton is over-stated. It is now believed that L 40,000 will cover the damage done. A fresh case of small-pox has occurred amongst those in quarantine from the steamship Duke of Westminster. The person attacked is one of the stevedores of the vessel. The steamship Nowsherra has arrived here from London, witli seventy cases of measles and typhoid fever on hoard. She has been ordered into quarantine.
