NEW PLYMOUTH.
This Day
The Parihaka monthly meeting was held on Friday. There were 5000 Natives present, including 400 liberated. Te Whiti said this month had settled all disturbances about ploughing and fencing, and now the prisoners were back there must be no more boasting, or they would be sent back to prison. He was glad they were back. They would be safe at Parihaka ; everything would now be settled. Men would increase in the land, which would be in the hands of the Queen. A tangi followed to welcome the prisoners.
