Mr. Berry received to-day a telegram from Earl Kimberley, stating that a police officer has bepn despatched by the mail steamer to take to Scotland Henderson, the reputed owner of the steamer Ferret, and the officers and crew that are under arrest are to be tried in Scotland.

A proclamation was issued to-day declaring all Chinese ports infected places, and that vessels, coming therefrom be placed in quarantine, also that persons coming from Sydney will be examined by the health officer before permitted to enter the Colony.
