The Union Steam Ship Company have ordered 6' -new steamers from"Hbihe,"<tdbe In- New Zealand about this time next year. One of these will be" Similar to tne Rotomahana, two others will, be <jf 500 tons, on a draft of 10 feet, to trade on the West Coast, one of which "will be twin screws ; the other three will be launches, one of which is intended for the harbor of Gisborne, the other to work between Tauranga and Optiki, in connection with the Company's'steamer Waitaki, while the third is to be employed between Wangarei and Napier, also in conjunction with the Waitaki.
