DUNEDIN.
This Day. A fatal accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, on the railway line, about a mile north of Kaihu. A goods train ran oft' the line, and toppled over the embankment. The engine-driver was crushed, and died from the injuries he received during the night. A movement is on foot here to establish a Liberal Association.
The defalcations of Thomas Chalmers Reid and Hawkins are causing so much consternation that the stability of other Building Societies are being injured.
