This Day. Mr. Bacon, bootmaker, will oppose Messrs. Driver and Simpson for Roslyn. It is not likely that either Mr. Davie or Mr. Turnbull will stand for Dunedin City. Mathow William Hawkins, accountant, was remanded yesterday on a charge of embezzling three sums amounting together to £602 from the Union Building Society, of which he was Sec--1 retary.
