Hon. John Hallj m moving for all correspondence respecting the Speakership, quoted from the Post that the Government had told Major Richmond that they wanted a Speaker who would support Government .Bills., Hon. Colonel Whitmpre said the statement was beneath denials. Hon. Fitzherbert said the offer had been made to him without conditions whatever. Any unconstitutional pro. posal he would have received wjth scorn.
