RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

This Day.

(Before H. Kenriok, Esq., R.M.), and Paora Parau, Native Asaessov.) F. Goldsmith v. Wi Mahuika, Mr Bromfield appeared for plaintiff, and Mr Robinson for defendant. In this case, adjourned from last Tuesday for the appearance and examination of defendant in person, judgment was given for plaintiff for the sum of £99 15s, to be payable in instalments and an order for execution was granted. During the hearing of the case, Mr Bromfield objected to the defendant being represented by counsel as it was required that he should personally attend on an application for execution on ajudgment summons, to satisfy the Court as to his means and position, which he had failed to do.
