[Before Captam Gudgeon, (Chairman) aud Ropata, and Wikiriwhi, Assesors.] The following applications came before the Court : — Hapekahi. — Refused j for the reason that it is within the boundaries of district to be proclaimed under the "Maori Licensing Act, 1868." Hone Babington. — Refused for same reason. John Trimmer. — Gaanted. Hutana Taru. — Granted; but cautioned to improve his houso before next meeting. • John Harding. — Granted. William Harding. — Refused, owing to want of accommodation, and too near Government School. Thus. Fox.' — Refused for same reason. Tutu Nihoniho. — Refused, as being too close to next public-house. Tanehana Kakano.— Granted. The choice was between the two, the latter having the preference. Joseph Lloyd. — Granted. William Milner. — Granted. Edward Walker, Te Awanui.— Granted. Paratene Ngata. — Granted. •Ruku Aratapu. — Refused ; house having been washed away by the flood. William Collier. — Hatepe ; new license granted ; considering house much required. Hone Mokena. — Granted. Hare Pahura. — Granted.
