A FATAL DESCENT.
A shocking accident happened at Sandhurst* and resulted m the death of Mr. Montgomery, the manager of the^United Hustler Company. He was descending the shaft when the cage ran away, and went prone down the 320 feet, dashing with terrific violence into the water that had accumulated to tiiat level, which was about half-way to the bottom of the Bhaft.
