This Day. Mm Goodyear, wife of a well-known cabman m Christchurch, committed snicide by taking poison yesterday. She was much distressecLby the recent death of her mother. N-THe doctor was called m, and gave a emetic, but the usual remedies failed, and she died m a few hours. The poison is supposed to have been sulphate of lead, a supply of which was kept for the stables, but the first symptoms were those of strychnine poisoning.
