Meblourne, January 7. The seamen have struck for a rise of wages. The strike is spreading. On Thursday four men, answering to the description of Kelly's gang, well mounted, crossed the Murrambidgee, going towards the station. They had two packhorses. The cricket match between Canterbury and Melbourne continued to-day, Canterbury having one man out for« 32 runs. Canterbury's wickets fell rapidly to the bowling of Kendall, and Alexander, the first innings terminating for only 87 runs, or 56 m minority. In the cricket match between Canterbury and Melbourne, the latter won by 169.
