LEGION OF FRONTIERSMEN.

ANNUAL SOCIAL. The annual social of the Waverlcy Troop of M. Squadron of the Legion of Frontiersmen, which was held on Wednesday at the residence of Lt. and Mrs, Boyer, proved tO' be one of the most delightful evenings ever held in Waverlcy. At least 40 were present from the surrounding districts, and a special welcome was extended to Lt.Gol. Vickridge, commandant of the legion, and Major Findlatcr, who came from Hawera. Several officers were present from the camp that is at present being held at the racecourse, including Lt.-Col. Bertrand, Majors Conway and Varnham, and Captain Scott. A very enjoyable programme of competitions, songs, recitations, and community singing was greatly enjoyed by all present, and a very hearty vote of thanks was passed to the genial host and hostess at the conclusion of a most successful function.
