WAVERLEY TOWN BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Vvaverley Town Board was held in the board room on Wednesday, March 9, 1932. Present: Messrs. A. J. Adlam (chairman), W. Wicks, A. Middlcditch, J. W. Mills, and J. Dalton.

The minutcs> of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The treasurer reported the following balances: General account, debit, £653 4s 4d; interest account, credit, £49 18s 6d; separate account, debit, £3 5s 4d. Correspondence ;was received from the following: Wanganui City Council, Central Licensing Authority, Unemployment Board, Public Works Department, Municipal Association, Department of Health.

Proposed by Mr. Wicks; seconded by Mr. Middlcditch, that accounts amounting to £347 7s 6d and a separate account for £3O 15s 6d be passed for payment. Carried. Proposed by the chairman, seconded by Mr. Wicks, that the offer of Isherwood Bollam and Co. to disc up the following crossings, Gloag, Bear, and Chester Streets, for the sum of £44 7s 6d be accepted. Resolved that Mr. Mills and the clerk arrange with the Patca County Council to get Smith and Brasscy Sts. rolled. WAIROA DOMAIN. Tho same members then sat as the Wairoa Domain Board. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The treasurer reported a credit balance of £7 8s lOd.

Accounts amounting to £l3 9s were passed for payment.

The following tenders were received ■for the erection of dressing shed, iron fence, ' etc.: T. Johnston, £59 10s; C. H. Christensen, £55 10s. Proposed by Mr. Middlcditch, seconded by Mr. Wicks, that C. H. Christensen’s tender for the work be accepted, the same to be completed before Easter, Carried. WAVBRLBY DOMAIN. The same members then sat as the Wavcrlcy Domain Board. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

The treasurer reported a credit balance of £4l 18s lid.

Proposed by Mr. Mills, seconded by Mr. Wicks, that accounts amounting to £3O 15s 6d be .passed for payment. Proposed by Mr. Mills, seconded by Mr. Middlcditch, that the board procure six scats at 12s 6d each for the Domain.

It was resolved that the board consent to the assignment of the lease of lot 24, sub. 2, of section 13, and lot 25, sub. 2, of section 14, from F. Briotler to J. A. Anderson and Elsie Anderson, but reserves the right to repose any further dealings arising out of the assignment, and that the seal of the board be affixed to same in the presence of Messrs. Adlam, Wicks, and the clerk. Carried. It was resolved that the board consent to assignment of lease of lot 18, sub. of section 10 from F. Christensen to J. Johnstone, but reserved the same rights as in the previous ease, and the seal was to, be affixed in tho presence of tho same members.

The same was passed in connection with the lease of lot 9, sub 1 of section 6, J. T. Palmer to R. M. Johnstone,
