GIRLS’ CLUB PICNIC
On Thursday afternoon Mrs. T, J. Davis and her daughters entertained the members of the Girls’ Club at their home, “Tiuwald Hill.” The weather was ideal for a picnic and the -girls made the most of the time, which was spent admiring the beautiful garden with it si wealth, of blooms, playingtennis, taking part in competitions, and last, but not least, in partaking of a delightful afternoon tea. Altogether a very haj)py time was spent. Before saying good-bye, Miss Pearl Cleaver, president of the club, in a few words, thanked Mrs. Davis and her daughters for the very nice afternoon, which they had all enjoyed. Mrs. Davis, in responding, said it gave them much pleasure to have the girls there. They were very interested in the club and pleased it had made such progress, remarking that the club was fortunate in having a leader like Miss B. Elmslie, who took such an interest in their work. Miss Elmslie also, in a few remarks, said how grateful they were to Mrs. Davis for the lovely picnic she had given them. -She was sure the members of the club appreciated it very much.
