A pleasant little function took place at the Waverley Public. School on Friday afternoon, when Air. Flaherty, the new headmaster, was welcomed and Air. Neumann, who has been relieving headmaster since Mr. Browning’s departure, was fa re welled. The chairman of the School Committee. Air, Boyne, in welcoming Mr. Flaherty to Waverley, wished him and his wife and family much happiness and success during their stay in Waverley, A. dainty afternoon tea, provided by members of the committee and their wives, who were also present. was passed round and enjoyed, alter which Mr, Flaherty thanked all present fertile very kind welcome they had given him.
