Mr. Naumaun, who ha.-- been relieving at the local .school, and who was furewellcd on Friday, takes up duties at Oroim .Downs. Mr. Xaumann enjoyed his stay iu Wavcrley and much regretted leaving. On Friday afternoon a team of Palea players met on the local croquet courts to try their luck against Waverley for the Campbell Cup. The play resulted as follows:—Mrs. Pepper and Miss Cleary (Wavcrley) 2C v. Airs. Gibbs and Airs. Alastcrs (Paten) 17. Airs. Palmer and Aliss AlcAloekia (Wavcrley) 2(> v. Mrs. Glonuy and Afrs. Hamsbottom (Patea) 10. Tho Wavcrley players will journey to Stratford on Tuesday and will play Hawora there, when it is to lie hoped (hat their hick will still bo in.
