CARNIVAL DANCE.
There was a good a f tendance of (lancers at the carnival picture dance in the Town Hall on Wednesday, the number of visitors present from other towns testifying to the extent to which the popularity of Paten’s carnival dances has spread. A feature of the evening was thes dainty fronting. An excellent picture programme was shown, and was followed with a varied dance programme, including many novel features, whilst noisy rattles, squeakers, etc., were froclv distributed, and added greatly te the evening’s fun. A light supper was once again provided by Mrs. C. Gardiner at a modest figure, tea and coffee being given free by the management. To add to the comfort of those in the supper mom cheerful log' tires were burning. Ts it any wonder the carnival dances are popular?
