The ladies have again come forward to assist tie local Fire Brigade in regards to their funds, and ere holding a masked plain and fancy dress dance for this purpose on Thursday 16th July, a prize will bo given for the most original dress both for ladies and gentleman. An oltending drank was brought before Mr D. McDonald, J.P., at the Waverley Cuu’t yes'orday morning. A conviction was ottered up and the offender was discharged.
Mrs Knight, of Chester Street, has an advertisement iu this issue with regard to her laundry. Mrs Knight has had six years’ experience of laundry work and customers can rely upon receiving every satisfaction.
