Railway Formally Opened. Stratfoid, Wednesday. The formal opening of the btratford Main Tiunk railway to Whangamomona took place tin’s ultarnoon, tlie Hon W H Herrios performing tho ceremony. There was a largo gathering of settlers and visitors. Tee, line is now available for regular passenger tnitiic for a tint iiico of 97 miles 53 chains from Stn.tford. The first sod v/us turned by Sir W Ilall-Jones in Man li, *901; boko was reached in 1992; andj’o Wera four years ago. ____________
