ELECTRIC OPERASCOPE.
The proprietors of the Electric Operascope claim that they have solved the problem how to spend a pleasant evening. Ou Saturday night at the Druids' Hall a large, brilliant and varied programme has been prepared when pictures, absolutely new, of all kinds, will be submitted for the approval of local amusement seekers. Foremost ou the programme is the film of that much discussed comic opera “ The Merry Widow” which has lately created such a furore throughout Australia. Other really excellent films to be shown are “The Pioneers,” “Beautiful Biarritz,” “I Smell Smoke,” “ Tit for Tat,” “ The Nihilists” and others too numerous to mention in these columns. The company carry their own electric lighting plant and claim that the pictures are absolut#ly devoid of the hitherto annoying flicker. Mr Morris, having come direct from London with the operascope, has brought with him the pick of the picture world, and a good house should greet him.
