Mr "WTag'g’O, the Queensland meteorologist, predicts that in a very short time tho weather will moderate round the spot where tho Perthshire is supposed to ho, hut shortly afterwards there will ho heavier storms between Australia and Now Zealand than those which caused tho recent disasters. ArcKL.wT), May Ml. Tho Dovonport Perry Company have decided not to send their tug - Admiral in search of the Perthshire. Juno 1. Tho Stella which left Jlokianga on Monday was reported off (Jape Maria Van Piemen going south at 4 p.m. yesterday. It is thought she has boon cruising from Three Kings southwards in search of tho Perthshire. Tlie latest is that tho Stella is coming in Kaipara Hoads alone. Symaey, Juno 1. A tug reports speaking to tho barque Northern Chief, from Kaipara, off tho coast. Tho Captain of the latter reports ho passed tho Perthshire last Thursday, in latititudc 134 .south, longitude 164, oast, and 400 miles from Cape Maria Van Piemen. Tho Perthshire reported all well. Tho Northern Chief met heavy weather after passing the Perthshire.
