BURGLARS AT WORK.
Melbourne, Oct. 10. Last night two men masked and armed entered Crawcowis, pawnbroker’s shop, in North Melbourne, and felled an old man named Stewart who was in charge, with a at of iron. They also bound and gagged dm, but his cries brought assistance. As ;he burglars were escaping they fired a shot rhe bullet passing through Stewart’s coat sleeve. The old man was taken to the hospital and his condition is serious,
