No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition, That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed (o the Hon Secretary, Hawera, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. 3. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 2 sovs. 4. Post marks will not he received in future under any pretence whatever, and nominations unpaid as the time of the due date of weights will be struck off the list.

5. When two or more horses start, the property of l!io same owner, a distinguishing color must he worn. 6. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this nde shall pay a fine of 2 sovs to the race fund. 7. All races to he run under the Wanganui Jockey Chib Rules, as far us practicable. 8. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. 9. Qualification fee for non-memhois residing in lire Hawera County to be £2 - those residing outside the county, free. 10. No other nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the specified time for closing. 10. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect that to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine not exceeding 5 sovs .to the race fund. 12. In all races the second horse only saves Ms stakes when it is specially mentioned Nominations, Weights, Retries, Etc. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, Egmout Handle ip, District Race Handicap, and County Handicap), will close at the. Hon. Secretary’s Cilice, Hawera, on Tuesday, 12th January, 188G, at 9 pm. Weights will he declared- on Thursday, 21st January.
