W. G. A curious but fatal incident happened at the Millwall Docks, London, the other evening. It appears that the steamship Persian Monarch, from Now York, hail entered the docks and was about to come to anchor alongside the quay appropriated to vessels of the Monarch Line, when eight of her crew, though some mistake of a shadow for terra jit' nut, leaped they fancied ashore, but all fell into the water below. They were dragged out, but two of them, though medically attended to, died soon afterwards.
