The Australian cricketers were accorded a banquet to-night in honour of their return from Englanl. A large number of citizens were present, and much enthusiasm prevailed. ADELAIDE, Nov. 21. A copious rainfall is now being experienced in this colony, and .especially in the northern district. MELBOURNE, Nov. 22. At the Intercolonial rifle contest which has been held here the Victorian team secured the first place, the Tasmanian representatives being second. A splended rainfall has been experienced throughout this colony, and has greatly benefited growing crops and pasture land.
