Passengers wishing- to alight must give notice to the Guard at the previous stations. Passengers are requested not to enter or leave the ears while in motion. To ensure despatch, parcels should be booked 30 minutes before the starting of the train. T. F. ROTHERAM, General Manager. GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Railway Department docs not pledge itself to the despatch or arrival of the Trains at the exact times notified in the above Tables, and in the event of any circumstances arising either during or prior to the journey being made which may render it impossible or inexpedient for a Train to proceed, will return the Fares paid, but docs not undertake to forward the passengers. Luggage,—Each person is allowed to take 1121bs of personal luggage free (not including merchandise of any kind), and for every sGlbs above the weight, for every 50 miles or fraction of 50 miles, the charge will be One Shilling. No luggage will b e allowed to be taken into the Carriages, unless of such a size that it can be placed under the scat without inconvenience to other passengers. Passengers are strongly recommended to have their Names and the Station to which they are proceeding distinctly marked on their Luggage, and to satisfy themselves that it is placed on the Train, as the Railway Department will not be responsible unless it is booked and paid for. Passengers can be booked at Stations only on condition that there is room in the Train Children under three years of age travel free; above three and under fourteen years of age, half-price. Horses, carriages, &c.—The Railway Department docs not undertake to forward _ Horses and Carriages by an particular Train ; but when sent, they must be at the Forwarding Station half-an-hour before the departure of the Train. The owners of Horses must pro- ! vide means for securing them in the horsebox, and the Railway Department will not be ac- j countable for any injuries sustained through their breaking loose or otherwise, nor will it undertake to carry unbroken or vicious Horses, At Country Stations requisitions for horseboxes or carriage-trucks must be made the day before they are wanted. Dogs must he provided with chains, or othcr°sufficicnt means of securing them. They will not be allowed in Carriages, and the sender must obtain a ticket, to be given up before the end of the journey, before the dog is delivered. Return or Periodical Tickets will not be available for Special or Excursion Trains, except the Ordinary Time Table is suspended. Return Tickets for distances not exceeding 25 miles arc available on the day of issue only ; for each additional 25 miles or fraction thereof, one day extra is allowed. Ordinary Single Tickets issued on Saturdays and Sundays arc available as Return Tickets until the end of the following Monday, when re-dated as above.
