WAIROA.
<&- (from our own correspondent.) A special meeting of the Wairoa Highway Board was held on the 13th April. All'the members were present. The following tenders were accepted :—For Peat’s Road : Dudley, £l7 ss. Lower Wangatanga ; Robinson and Dudley, £l4 10s. A friendly match was fired on Saturday between the' Alexandra (Wanganui) Troup of Cavalry, and the Wairoa Light Horse, the former proved the victors. A cricket match came off on Good Friday between the Wavevly club, and the Union (Wanganui), in which Waverly also came off second best. 'Hie following are the scores : UNION.
