POWER BOARD MEETS

Present at the meeting of tin* Tararua Power Board held in the Board’s offices yesterday morning were Mr P. Davies, chairman, Messrs C. H. Parsons, L. Johnston. C. T. Richardson, S. J Judd, Thos. Fouhy, W. Britlaaid, J G. Brechin, J. B. Oarruthers and A. W. Bisset An apology was received from Mr E. W. Cheetham. Messrs D. Fraser, En-gineer-Manager, and H. H. Elmes. Secretary-Treasurer, were ; : n attendance.

On the motion of Mr S. J. Judd, seconded by Air J. B. Carruthers, accounts amounting to £14,247 10s were passed for payment and the meeting adopted the treasurer’s financial statement and the secretary’s report. Messrs Brechin and Brit land were appointed signatories for the Board’s cheques a.t th© meeting. The secetary reported on the result- of the auction sale of the Board’s property at Eketahuna, tli© proceeds o* which amounted to £470, which with. £265 already realised, mad© a tot at of £735. Ther© are still some items to be sold. The demolition expenses to date totalled £325 12s 6d a-na some £95 14s 6d are the costs involved in. the construction of the new office at Eketahuna. This concluded th© Financ© Committee business and th© orginary general meeting was commenced. The report of th© Enginecr-Alana-ger was read and adopted, the Chairman commenting on the splendid arrangements made for the housing of the Board’s office in Eketahuna.
