Liberators of tne | United States Army Corps co-operat-ed with R.A.F. bombers in, raiding Benghazi on Sunday night when 'many fires were caused and damage to railway sidings and harbour moles. Our fighters maintained constant patrols throughout the day but littYe enemy opposition was encountered. Targets in Greece and Crete were attacked on Sunday light An enemy convoy of two mediumsized merchant vessels accompanied by destroyers was attacked by mr torpedo-carrying aircraft and" hits were registered on one merchant vessel.
In a raid on Malta on Sunday three ME 109’s were shot down bv Spit* fires and other enemy aircraft damaged.
Two of our planes are missing but the pilot of on e is believed to be safe.
