MOTOR CAR FALLS 200 FEET
MINOR INURIES SUFFERED Electric Telegraph Tress Assoc*ntlon NEfW PLYMOUTH, June 22. Minor injuries only were suffered by four persons, the occupants of a motor-car which left th© road on Mount Messenger and rolled 200 feet down the slope, th© final 20 feet °l which was a sheer drop. The four persons were Mrs Jessie L. Priar, aged 65, who was admitted to the New Plymouth Hospital with injuries to the right leg, Miss Esina E. Cooper, the driver, and Mr and Mrs R. Burrows, who all suffered only bruises and shock. The car, which was returning from the north, was a third of the wav up th© southern eide of Mount Messenger when it skidded on a bend. The headlights had been dimmed and the road was wet and slippery. The ©ar was completely wrecked, and it is said that th© stout construction of the steel body was what saved the passengers from more serious resuluts.
