(By SYNTACTICS.) We hear that an Emergency Precautions Scheme will soon he under weigh in Pahiatua. We hope this scheme will contain a clause as t<> the correct way of dealing with stray cows in Main Street. It- was a fine week-end. One resident remarked to us that he dug in lnr garden till he couldn’t sto. j>. Personally, we dug until we couldn’t stand up. Independent observers have it that this will be a war without gloves. In. that case why couldn't Hitler hav* declared war on the North Pole—with his boots off. too? So far there has been no talk of any dairy company amalgamaterg with the Brewery.
