The Queensland wheat industry sate, received a serious blow from the pwMfefc&port prices and the limitation SSPIiSL- price of bread by a Com-* ittVHHMra* .of Prices, a system pecu'lnv£*'s’b SfiYt.i*. At a meeting of it Jjjtoljp.v.Grain Producers’ Association ft was 'stated that at least Ll5O-.000 worth of promissory notes had been dishonoured because of the small first advance made to growers by tin* Wheat Board on this season’s crop. Shortage of money has caused several growers to walk off their fa i ms. The Premier (Mr Forgan Smith) will be asked to arrange some better system for financing the har- ’ esting of the crops.
