Mrs H. M. Hansen, Haunui, is a visitor to Wellington, where she is the guest of Mrs B. Clemas. Mr J. W. Sturton has entered a private hospital in Pahiatua to undergo an operation. Mrs Cecil Freedman and Miss Joan Rees, of Napier, are the guests of Mrs N. Avery, Masterton Road. Mr and Mrs A. Prat ley have returned home after an enjoyable motor tour of Taupo, Rotorua and Hawke's Bay districts. Messrs R. Merrie (Pahiatua) and G. T. Smith (Pongaroa) have returned from a short fishing excursion to Lake Taupo. Mr Scoones. of Wellington, lias arrived to take charge of the Kaituna School, Pongaroa. Mr and Mrs R B. Robertson and Aliss Peggy Robertson, of Palmerston North, were recent visitors to the Pongaroa district.
