KING’S THEATRE.
TWO FEATURES TO-NIGHT. “Radio City Revels” and “Under Suspicion” will be screened at the King’s Theatre to-night and tomorrow at 8 p.m. Revolving about one of t-lie most ingenious themes ever brought to the screen, RKO Radio’s new musical comedy hit. “Radio City Revels” has been lavishly produced with a star-studded cast headed by Bob Burns, Jack Oakie, Kenny Baker and Anil Miller, and with a melange of lyrics and laughter and dancing among its entertainment features. The theme of the film is based on what psychologists call “automatic writing, " the peculiar faculty some few persons possess of being able to write in their sleep or in a sub-
conscious state. Bob Burns is an Arkansas hill-billy who yearns to become a song-composer, although his efforts while awake are hopelessly amateurish. When he is asleep, however, he can—and does—write sparkling songs, and on this odd phenomenon the whole plot of the picture hinges. Mystery that will baffle the most ardent mystery fan is contained in “Under Suspicion,” the latest film to feature the popular star, Jack Holt. Adapted for the screen from a magazine story by that top-flight concocter of murder mystery yarns, Philip Wylie, it is a stirring story of an assassination plot, aimed at a wealthy motor-car magnate because he suddenly turns philanthropic and decides to give his plant away to bis employees.
