DRIVING WITHOUT LICENCE
MOTORIST FINED £2O. Electric Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, February 14. Ail assurance by Robert Court that he was the holder of a driver’s licence but did not have it with him was later found to be false by an inspector of the Transport Department and Jed to Court’s appearance before -Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court on a charge of speeding. He was fined £5, and on a charge of driving without a licence he was fined £2O. The inspector explained that he found Court’s licence had been cancelled for 12 months when Court was convicted on a charge of being intoxicated in charge of a car. He stopped Court on the Main North Road after observing defendant travelling at 49 miles an hour within n 30 niih*s an hour limit area.
