TCBERCTLOSiS CASES IN A ('('KI.AND HOSPITAL. Electric Telegraph—Press Association All KI.AND, February 14. ‘ rgent action to remove from the v.aifl- or the Auckland Hospital more than 30 tuberculosis cases was decided upon h.v the hospital board last evening. The board s building committee was instructed to take immediate steps to erect temporary shelters at the Epsom Infirmary or in the grounds of the main hospital. Ihe seriousness ot the position was revealed m a report by the medical superintendent. Dr. Craven who said that the risk to other patients and the nursing staff was cansmg much concern. Though temporary buildings were not viewed favourably bv fhe chairman, Mr Allan Moody, he said that it was the board’s duty to act quickly and remove the risk existing in the hospital. Meanwhile, if the public would he patient a little longer the board would build a chest hospital and provide a properly-equipped sanatorium as part of its comprehensive scheme. 1
