TO BE HELD ON SATURDAY. Don’t forget the garden party in St. Peter s Vicarage grounds next Saturday—it will be well worth your while to spend the afternoon there. Besides stalls laden with good things, there are competitions and sideshows galore, and a baby show. A novel item is the “lucky spot copper trail” ; put your pennies down and if you are oil the lucky spot you get a prize. Another event is nominating the ugliest man who will have to pay 3d to have his name taken down. Another novel item is the

“wash-pegging competition ’ for men —come along and win a prize by pegging out the largest quantity of washing in a given time. For children of school age, there are' slow bicycle, potato, and egg and spoon races, also a competition for decorated bicycles. Three good prizes are offered. And there will be afternoon tea at a moderate charge.
