FAREWELL PRESENTATION

POST OFFICE STAFF HONOURS MR. MITCHELL. A very pleasant ceremony took place in the Post Office yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock, when the Post Office staff gathered in forc< to make a Jarewell presentation to Mr 1) Mitchell. Mr C. S. Carrad, in presenting Mr Mitchell on behalf of the staff with an handsome oak dinner-wagon and a beautiful cushion, spoke in praise of his record of service, and wished him success in his well-earned proMr R. H. Taylor, the supervisor, and Mr A. J. Goer also spoke wishing Mr Mitchell all of the best, while Mr A. J. Wilkinson conveyed the good wishes of the line staff. Mr Mitchell replied thanking all those present for their generous gift and good wishes, and hoped to see them all again at some future time. Mr and Mrs Mitchell and family leave during the week-end for Neison, where Mr Mitchell will take up the position of overseer.
