SHOW GUESSING COMPETITION.

KEEN BATTLING FOR CUP. There promises to be a very keen contest to-morrow at the Pahiatua Show in the sheep and fat beast guessing competitions. Three stewards have accepted office and they justly rank amongst the most popular -. and persistent battlers in the whole district. They are Messrs “Dad” Peters, Frank Kerridge and Alt. Howell. Last year’s winner, Mr “Bill” Adams, who has the record to date, has gracefully retired on his laurels. There is a big diversity of opinion as to which of the trio will be the winner of Mr “Bill” Lassen's cup.
