"ENTER MY JERSEY"
SHOW SECRETARY PUZZLED. There is a bit of humour in connection with the running of an A. and P. Show. Yesterday the secretary (Mr J. A Walsh) received a letter from a lady with a request to “enter my Jersey for the Pahiatua Show.” With the communication was a postal note of the value of Is. The secretary was a bit mystified and bewildered, the small amount of the fee and the lateness of the entry having Him completely puzzled and thinking furiously. By the next post he received a cardboard box containing a lady’s knitted jersey!
