During the absence of their parents at a neighbour’s home three children, Shirley Croke, aged 9; Winifred Croke, aged 7 ; and David Croke, aged 5, were burned to death in a wooden hut 19 miles from Camden last night. The parents and the two elder daughters were playing cards at the neighbour’s when the fire occurred and they were unable to rescue the children owing to the flames having too great a hold on the hut.
