“STUPID PRANK.” SAYS MAGISTRATE Electric Telegraph—Press Association HOKITIKA, Last Night. In the Magistrate’s Court Joseph Martini, a salesman, was charged with issuing a false document purporting that he was suhpoaeiied, which resulted in the recipient making a journey from Woheka, 100 miles below Hokitika, to attend the Court. The Magistrate convicted accused and fined him £3, stating he thought it a stupid prank otherwise the maximum penalty would have been inflicted.
