A railcar near Three Mile ran into a fjeaf and dumb middle-aged woman who was crossing from a private house over the railway line to the main road In spite of prompt braking by the car driver, the woman was struck heavily, suffering serious dislocation of the right knee, a lacerated right leg, lacerated scalp and general bruising. She was removed to the Westland Hospital, where her condition is reported as fail*.
