"DUTCH FAIR"
EVENT FOR TUESDAY NEXT
With accelerated pace preparations 4ue being made for the grand “Dutch Pair” which will be held next Tuesday. all day and evening, in the Foresters’ Hall, Pahiatua. I lie various stall holders arc busy with, committees and patrons are promised a fii!*- array of things beautiful and -usef.il for purchase. Settlers are invited to assist with donations towards the produce stall. The youth arc stocking a “jur.bli*” stall and will be glad to receive* unwanted books, magazines and other articles that van. be sold. The midday limch<*an will he in charge <»t Mrs East so ’mu said. Afternoon tea will he tasty and dainty. There will he fun for all and competitions for young folk and older. Weight-judging of a sheep donated l>y a well-known farmer will interest settlers. The evening programme will consist of the presentation of a fine display of fancy and national lances in ootfifm© by Miss J. Scott’s pupils. Some very lovely fancy and othei goods have been presented to the main stalls an! the Women’s Guild of St. Paul’s assure ladies that- there arc bargains in view. His Worship the Mavor, Mr S. K. Siddells, has kindly consented to fomially open the fair at ■2 p.m. Everybody is invited to assist in making this special effort a
