WEDDING OF INTEREST

KINGSTON—STEWART. A quiet but pretty wedding of interest locally took place at St. John's Anglican Church, Dannevirke, on Saturday morning last, when Eileen Hilda, daughter of Mr and Mrs Stewart, of Miller's Road, Dannevirke, was married to Eric Charles, cnly son of Mr and Mrs F. Kingston, of Waipawa. Miss Stewart was until recently employed by Messrs Pringle’s in Pahiatua. The Rev. G. B. Stephenson performed the ceremony and Mr H. T. Russell officiated at the organ. The bride 'entered the church with her father and looked very charming in her wedding gown of white lace and satin. The bodice had a cowl neck, and was draped with satin, finishing into a sash of white satin. The sleeves were long and tight-fit-ting, pleated at the shoulders coming to a point over the hands and finished with small satin buttons. The skirt was slim-fitting falling into a train at the back. The lovely embroidered tulle vteil was attached to tlje head with a halo of oiange blossom and arum lilies, and she carried a bouquet of spring flowers and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Vera Stewart, sister of the bride, wore a gown of blue lace redingote over satin, with a halo of blue roses and silver leaves, and shoes to match. A bouquet of anemones and maiden-hair fern was carried. * The dainty little flower girl was Gill Stewart, niece of the bride, who wore a delightful frock of pink embroidered taffeta in Victorian style, finished with blue lovers' knots. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr F. W. of Waipawa . After the ceremony, guests were entertained at the residence of the bride’s parents, where the usual toasts were ho loured. The bride’s mother received the guests wearing a charming frock of black and white marocain, with hat and shoes to tone. The mother of the bridegroom looked very smart in a black tailor-

ed costume, with hat, shoes and groves to match. For travelling, the bride wore a smart frock of airman blue satinoack crepe, with hat, shoes and coat to match.
