In g special attempt on the New Zealand junior girls' 50 yards breaststroke record at ibe municipal baths to-night, Mary Stewart, present New Zealand 50 yards junior girls breaststroke champion, covered the distance in 40sec., lowering the record oi 40 2-5 seconds by Miss C. Lynch, Southland.
