Yesterday afternoon Charles Clifford Ivnopp, of Pongaroa, charged with being an idle and disorderly person, was sentenced to three months gaol by Messrs 17. H. Hartley and L. D. Lovelock. Constable Gainey, who prosecuted, intimated that Knopp was begging for food and in addition to being a nuisance, had scared the womenfolk i n the district.
