TIMBER PRODUCTION.
By an estimate based on railway loadings, the production or saw tim1m* r in New Zealand during the year ended March 31, 1937, was 315,000,000 feet, board measurement, an inciease of 7 per cent, on that of the previous year, states the annual report of the Dominion Federated Sawmillers* Association. This production is second only to that i the peak year, 1925-26, when the total timber output reached 353,250,000 feet, b m.
